C. K. Stead

C. K. Stead was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1932. He is a poet, fiction writer, and critic, best known for his critical study, The New Poetic, Yeats to Eliot (1964). He is the author of eleven novels, including My Name was Judas (Harvill Secker, 2007). His collected poems are due out from Carcanet in 2009.
