John Freeman

John Freeman founded the literary biannual Freeman's, and is author of two books of nonfiction, How to Read a Novelist, and The Tyranny of Email. Maps, his debut collection of poems, will be published by Copper Canyon Press in October. He also edited two anthologies of writing about inequality, Tales of Two Cities, and Tales of Two Americas, forthcoming in 2017 from O/R Books. The former editor of Granta, he lives in New York City and is writer in residence at NYU.
