Rowan Ricardo Phillips' most recent book is Heaven (FSG, 2015). He is also the author of The Ground (FSG, 2012), the essay collection When Blackness Rhymes with Blackness (Dalkey Archive Press, 2010) and a translation from the Catalan of Salvador Espriu's Ariadne in the Grotesque Labyrinth (Dalkey Archive Press, 2012). He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Whiting Award, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Prize, the PEN/Joyce Osterweil Prize, and the GLCA New Writers Award. He lives in New York City and Barcelona.
